Cellular Changes by the Trichomoniasis of the Uterine Cervix

Abstract

|
In order to get a help in making an exact diagnosis of Tricho moniasis in the Pap.Smears of the uterine ceruix, the gynecologic patients’ 456 Pap.Stained slides which were positive for Trichom oniasis were rescreened under the microscope and studied carefully about the followings. 1) The age group with the highest prevalence of Trichomoniasis of the uterine cervix. 2) Colors and shapes of trichomonads in the Pap.smears. 3) Cytological changes of squamous cells in the persence of trichomonads. 4) Background status of smears in the presence of trichomonads. 5) Accompanying with other organisms.
